 Specialty Autism Program (SAP)
Danny’s Farm is a proud vendor of the San Gabriel Valley/Pomona Regional Center to deliver Specialty
Autism Program services. Our vendor number is
PP5059-048. We offer a small program during after school hours throughout the school year, and full-day programs during the summer months. We accept Regional Center clients as well as private pay. Our SAP Program is
licensed through the State of California Community Care Licensing Division.
The Specialty Autism Program utilizes the elements of the stables and barn to provide an educational experience for children ages 5-17. In a small group, with highly trained staff, the following skills are addressed in a highly motivating arena.

- Respecting others / spatial awareness
- Problem solving
- Reciprocal play / communication skills
- Organization skills
- Waiting, listening and turn-taking
- Task completion
- Building self-confidence & leadership skills

Our employees with disabilities and volunteers take pride in their work at Danny's Farm. There are countless opportunities for community integration and inclusion. We hope you think of including us in your next field trip, celebration or event.
COMMUNITY OUTREACH (subject to availability)
We try to support community events as much as our schedule permits. We do not generally charge a fee for these events. We like the opportunity to showcase what Danny's Farm programs have to offer. We bring Barnyard Critters for children and adults to pet and hold. We also bring flyers to inform and promote our programs. Please contact us to see if we can support your event.

Why not include our Petting Zoo for your next occasion? Our Petting Zoo makes a wonderful field trip for your school or daycare. Our petting zoo can also make a wonderful addition to your Graduation, Party, Community Event, Reunion, Birthday, Church, Festival, Fair or Parade. Our friendly experienced staff brings our loving farm animals to enhance your next event. We are licensed, insured and CPR trained. Hands on fun, interaction and learning are our main goals. Our aim is to educate the public about our animals, farm life, animal care and our knowledge of sign language. Animals can be touched, groomed, held and petted. Set Up
We want to make our visit as easy for you as possible. Our petting zoo is self-contained. We set up and clean up. The Petting Zoo can operate in driveways, back yards, front yards, classrooms, inside or out. For public parks etc. a permit is required at your expense. On booking our Petting Zoo we will discuss the best possible location to set up. We bring hand sanitizers. Our specialized staff are always on hand to supervise, answer questions and guarantee a fun hands-on experience.
Cost
Danny's Farm Charitable Foundation is a 501c(3) tax-exempt charitable organization. Our Federal I.D. # is 80-0195821. We rely heavily on donations so please call for more information. We also will need to cover our transportation costs with a minimal amount to cover gas etc. We welcome events of all sizes. So please call for more information. It is important to us to serve our community. We look forward to hearing from you. Payment for outside events is kindly requested before the event . We take checks, MasterCard and Visa for your convenience.
BARNYARD TRAVELING PETTING ZOO FOR FIELD TRIPS
$5 per student plus transportation fee. Your field trip will include:
- Set up
- 1 hour of hands-on animal fun can tie in with your curriculum
- The Whole Farm Animal Option subject to animal availability
- Interactive lesson on one of the following: our animals, farm living, animal care, interactive lesson in sign language

WHOLE FARM BIRTHDAY PARTY PACKAGE

- 2 hours of hands on animal fun ($100 for each additional hour)
- The Whole Farm Animal Option
- Transportation included within 10 miles from our Farm in Altadena .55c per additional roundtrip mile)
- Setup and clean up (before and after your 2 hour event)
- 1 Barnyard Activity or Craft for up to 20 kids (age appropriate)

Activities / Crafts Inc. in Party Package
Games activities and crafts can be participated in while guests are petting our loving farm animals. These games and crafts help entertain energetic children. Small age appropriate prizes are given to winners of the games. Games and crafts will be included in the Whole Farm Party Package for up to 20 children. Some Craft Options:
- Color pictures and crayons (related to theme)
- Color page with real sheep's wool
- Make Paper bag puppets
- Make “Wanted” posters
- Shucking corn
- Panning for gold (pennies)
- This is not a complete list of games.
We are willing to work with you on different options
Some Game Options:
- Pin the tail on the donkey (prizes given)
- Dress up race - two teams and two boxes of western clothes (prizes given)
- Needle (prize) in a haystack - a bale of straw is piled up with prizes inside,
- Hot potatoes / Rattle snake - potatoes or wooden snake and music (prizes given)
- Shoot out - light candles and shoot them out with squirt guns (prizes given)
- Egg Hunt – looking for plastic eggs with prizes inside
- Or let us know if you have a particular game we can include.
Preparations & Conditions
A Party contract will need to be signed and returned with your $100 non-refundable deposit (for Party Package only) to secure your booking. We take checks, Visa and MasterCard for your convenience. Prior to an appointment, the animals involved will receive a bath and or proper grooming. Every set up will allow access to water and periodic breaks from the public if needed. The weather conditions determine the frequency of the breaks and/or cancellations.
Travel
A travel fee is included in the Whole Farm Party Package up to 10 miles from Danny's Farm. We are a non-profit organization and just need to cover our travel expenses. The travel fee is determined by Google Maps or MapQuest at a rate of .55c roundtrip mile.
Booking
Our calendar fills up fast so we recommend you book up your event as early as possible. Call or email us with your questions and we will endeavor to accommodate your requests. All Birthday Party package bookings require your non-refundable $100 deposit along with the signed Party Contract which you can download from our website.
